Crusader - No Remorse [U] ISO

Crusader - No Remorse [U] ISO

Description :

Crusader: No Remorse is an action game developed by Origin Systems and published by Electronic Arts. It was first released in 1995 for the PC DOS, with the Sony PlayStation and Sega Saturn ports following in 1997. Set in a dystopian world of 22nd century, the games center on an elite supersoldier that defects from the tyrannical world government, the World Economic Consortium (WEC), and joins the Resistance rebels.
Critically well-received, No Remorse was followed by the PC-only sequel Crusader: No Regret in 1996.

Gameplay

The Crusader is divided into missions, each with their own locations and objectives. Settings vary from factories to military bases to offices to space stations, and contain a variety of enemy soldiers and servomechs, traps, puzzles and non-combatants (who can be killed with no penalty and their bodies can be looted for credits which are used to purchase better weapons). All locations have alarm systems which can be triggered by actions such as walking into view of security cameras, weapons fire, or destroying a secured door. Setting off an alarm will bring down significant military presence and the player is encouraged to avoid triggering them or to deactivate them as soon as possible. In No Remorse, the Silencer could carry no more than five firearms at once.
The game featured a previously unprecedented level of setting interaction. Most of the environment can be destroyed by weapons fire and some traps or defenses can be manipulated for use against the enemy. The geography of the setting encourages the use of tactics and combinations of moves in order to hit the targets effectively with the minimum possible loss of resources. No Regret added a handful of new maneuvers to the original game, including the ability to dive forward, and to sidestep while crouching. Weapons, ammunition, credits (money), healing facilities, and other equipment is scattered through the levels, allowing the player to upgrade their arsenal.

Plot

Due to economic downfalls, the nations of the planet Earth began gradually to organize themselves into huge economic super-conglomerates. Eventually, these continental organizations merged into the World Economic Consortium. The WEC is a tyrannical entity; while the world is made to look peaceful and prosperous, the reality is that most freedoms are suspended, taxes are well over 90%, military force is used mercilessly against those who dare oppose the WEC, and freedom is barely even remembered. Only an elite upper class of WEC executives have true power and wealth; among these are WEC President Gauthier and Chairman Nathaniel Draygan. The WEC is being fought by an organization calling itself the Resistance, led by former WEC colonel, now general, Quentin Maxis. The Resistance is a severely outnumbered and outgunned ragtag mix of disparate people: ex-WEC soldiers and employees rub elbows with political dissidents and criminals.
As No Remorse opens, a team of three Silencers—enigmatic super-soldiers—are returning from a botched mission in which they disobeyed an order to fire upon civilians who were (mistakenly) believed to be rebels. They are ambushed by a WEC mech and two of the Silencers are killed. The remaining one, a nameless captain (the player character), was able to disable the mech with a grenade. Reconsidering his options, the Silencer joins the Resistance, where, as a significant symbol of the WEC's military power and political philosophy, he is met with resentment, distrust and outright hatred. As the game progresses, the Silencer uncomplainingly undertakes dangerous missions, often with substandard equipment, and his continued success gradually earns the respect of his fellow Resistance members.
The Silencer eventually uncovers secret plans for a WEC space station, the Vigilance Platform, which can attack any location on Earth from space, meaning cities with a known Resistance presence can simply be annihilated at the leisure of the WEC. All such cities are threatened with orbital bombardment unless they surrender. Concurrently, the player's Resistance cell is betrayed from within, and almost all the non-player characters are killed. Despite these setbacks, the Silencer infiltrates the Vigilance Platform and destroys it. The traitor is also on the station, guarding the lifepods, and challenges the Silencer to a duel over the access card for the last pod. As the Vigilance Platform is exploding, the Silencer is contacted by Chairman Draygan, who swears vengeance against him.

Croc 2 (E) ISO

Croc 2 (E) ISO

Description :

Croc 2, called Croc Adventure (クロックアドベンチャー) in Japan (working title Croc 2: Kingdoms of the Gobbos), is a video game released in 1999. It is the sequel to Croc: Legend of the Gobbos, developed by Argonaut Software between 1998 and 1999, and published by Fox Interactive. Croc 2 was released on Game Boy Color, Windows, and PlayStation. Sega Saturn (was advertised but were never released)[1] Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast releases were planned but eventually canceled because of programming and porting difficulties. The plot revolves around Croc searching for his missing parents, and saving the Inventor Gobbo from Baron Dante. The original soundtrack features the guitarist Simon Gosling. The current best-looking version of the game is the PC-version. It even offers support for modern graphic cards and can even be played in 1080p on a modern system.

Story

Previously, a baby crocodile is found by the Gobbos, who inhabit the Gobbo Islands. Rufus, the king of the Gobbos adopts the crocodile, and with the help of the rest of the tribe, raises him, teaching him the ways of the Gobbos.
Baron Dante arrives in the valley where the Gobbos lives. Angered by the happy Gobbos, he and his Dantinis sweep into the Gobbo Valley and capture the Gobbos. King Rufus is taken by Baron Dante himself and kept in a cage inside his Tower of Terror.
Croc manages to avoid being caught, but is now left alone. He knows that he has to help the Gobbos in any way that he can and save the King from Baron Dante. After having a long journey, Croc manages to rescue the Gobbos and destroy the Baron and save their King. Everything is right again in Gobbo Valley and the Gobbos celebrate by erecting a statue of Croc in their Valley.
Now, after Baron Dante is destroyed, Croc and the Gobbos resumed their lives of playing. But in the mean time, the evil Dantinis plot the return of Baron Dante. Unfortunately, an unlucky Inventor Gobbo is captured when he witnesses Dante's return.
Back at Gobbo Valley, Croc is playing at the beach, and finds a bottle washed up on the shore. He picks it up and he finds a message with a baby crocodile footprint on it. The message explains that the senders are looking for their son. Croc is surprised and took the message to King Rufus who reads it and eventually tells Croc that he will need to go to a far away land where there are other Gobbos, who may be able to help him to find his parents.
Then all the Gobbos make a see-saw. Croc stands on one end and a Gobbo pushes a boulder on to the other end to bring Croc to the distant mainland, where his search begins.

Gameplay

The gameplay in Croc 2 has advanced considerably compared to the previous game. Instead of simply finding six Gobbo in each level, the player must now complete various tasks.
One of the many changed elements is the health system; instead of the extra life system that Legend of the Gobbos had, Croc now has only one life and a heart count of up to 9; each hit Croc takes, or any time Croc falls into a bottomless pit or lava pits, takes away one heart; the heart count can be restored by finding heart tokens in the levels, or by collecting 100 crystals; the starting maximum count for hearts is three(five in PC version), the player can buy Heart Pots from Swap Meet Pete to be able to collect more hearts.
A new addition to the game is that Croc has an extra jump, that is triggered by stomping and repeatedly pressing the jump button before hitting the ground and he can also ride vehicles in some levels, which include mine carts, a race car, a speedboat, a hot-air balloon, a hang-glider and an aeroplane.
Another new aspect is Swap Meet Pete's General Store. The store is owned by a large, anthropomorphic cat, named Pete. Pete is capable of teleporting Croc to other Gobbo Villages with the use of his Crystal Ball.
There are four villages Croc must traverse through before reaching the end of the game, each with Gobbo of different personalities. The four villages are the Sailor Village, the Cossack Village, the Caveman Village and the Inca Village. Each village has five levels, two bosses (with the exception of the Inca Village, which has only two levels, and one boss) and one Golden Gobbo level. Once the fourth village is finished, Croc then travels to Baron Dante's Tower of Power, and once the Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces are assembled, a fifth village can be unlocked; the fifth village is a corrupted version of the Gobbo village, created by Dante.
A Western-style village, featuring Cowboys and Native Americans, was planned but never finished.

Croc - Legend of the Gobbos (E) ISO

Croc - Legend of the Gobbos (E) ISO

Description :

Croc: Legend of the Gobbos (also known as simply Croc, or in Japan as Croc! Pau-Pau Island (クロック!パウパウアイランド?)) is a platform video game published by Fox Interactive and developed by Argonaut Software for the PlayStation, Sega Saturn, PC, and Game Boy Color. It was released on September 29, 1997 in the North America. It follows main protagonist Croc, and his attempts to rescue the furry creatures known as Gobbos from the main antagonist, Baron Dante.
It received generally positive reviews from video games critics and was also a commercial success particularly in Europe, eventually becoming a PlayStation Greatest Hits game. Over four million copies were sold.

Plot

The Gobbo King Rufus is watching the sunset when he notices a small basket in the lake, containing a small, screaming baby crocodile. The Gobbos raise him and train him to become one of their own. Croc eventually grows to twice the size of a normal Gobbo. All is peaceful, until one day, one of the Gobbos shouts out a warning... " Dantinis!". Suddenly, the evil Baron Dante arrives and invades Gobbo Island with the help of his demon rascals, the Dantinis. He imprisons many of the Gobbos, most notably their King, whom he keeps in a steel cage within his castle island. Before the Gobbo King is taken, he strikes a magical gong that summons a yellow bird called Beany. Beany shrinks Croc before whisking him away to safety. Croc then goes on a quest to free all the Gobbos and defeat the evil Baron Dante himself.

Gameplay

Croc is a free-roaming game title, with Croc's movement differing slightly depending on whether players use the directional pad or the analog controller to control him. His main moves consist of a tail whip attack that can temporarily destroy enemies, and a hit drop used for smashing open crates (the same move in the Super Mario series). Croc also possess the ability to swim in select levels. Throughout the game Croc collects crystals which serve as health in a similar fashion to golden rings in Sonic the Hedgehog, meaning the player will lose a life if hit without holding any crystals in their inventory. Crystals retained at the end of a level are stored, with Croc gaining an extra life for every 100 he collects.
Progressing through the levels involves finding and hitting the Beany Gong at the end of the level to move onto the next, facing two bosses during each island. However, to fully complete the game, Croc has to rescue the captured Gobbos throughout each level. Each level contains six Gobbos, including one hidden behind a door at the end of the level. This Gobbo can only be released by collecting five coloured crystals throughout the level. Collecting all the Gobbos before a boss level unlocks an extra level in which a Jigsaw Piece can be earned. When the player collects all of these pieces, a new island is opened up, leading to the game's final boss, Baron Dante in crystal form.

Crisis Beat (E) ISO

Crisis Beat (E) ISO

Description :

Much more than a beat 'em up, Crisis Beat is a blend of action and adventure rarely seen on PlayStation, wrapped up in a compelling narrative that runs throughout the game, guiding players from one exciting challenge to another. To combat the hordes of bad guys all over the ship, you have to use stealth, strategy and be ready to brawl with the best. Depending on which character you have opted to play (a choice of four), the game AI will select the best "BOSS" to hamper your progress.

Crisis Beat is a beat´em up style game like the old Final Fight series or Double Dragon. I really enjoy this type of game because is really fun when your playing with a friend.

Graphics: 8/10

The graphics during the game aren´t too great but they don´t suck either. But the graphics in the real-time cutscens are too much better. However the graphics when you´re playing are fine, if they where better you won´t even notice ´cause we all know how pixelated the graphics are in the old PSX.
You can tell by the very first time you play this game that the programmers didn´t use motion capture and that´s a shame cause if they have used some motion-capture, to make the movements of the characters, the game could´ve been too much better looking.

Sound/Music: 8/10

The music is just above average and in some parts of the game there even isn´t any music, but don´t worry these are just some very short areas. The sound effects are very well done, you´ll get your punching, kicking, screaming and breaking-stuff sound effects that we all love.

Gameplay: 8/10

This game is, as I said, a beat´em up game so all you gotta do is beat up all the bad guys! And in this game are 4 different characters to play with. They come in 2 pairs, and each pair has it´s own route.
All the characters have their unique attacks and you can make some special attacks pressing different combinations of buttons, and with some of them the camera will make a zoom to make a more spectacular scene.
Something great about this game is that you can break almost anything you see in the levels and something more cool is that if you hit an enemy that is in front of one breakable object you´re character will make a special combo and will send the enemy directly to the object destroying it in a very cool way.
The only very important thing that is missing in this game is the variety of weapons, the only 2 weapons that you can use in the game are something like a knife (I said it this way cause I really dont know what it is!! Any enemy can drop this even if he´s holding a flame-thrower he´ll only drop this crappy knife-thing) and the other one is a machine gun but when you grab this item you´re not able to control your character, all that your char will do is just spin and shoot just everywhere killing all the enemies in the screen.
Oh, and there are 3 difficulty levels for you to play trough.

Story: 8/10

This kind of games doesnt need a very good story to play them. In this game there´s a ship that´s infested with terrorists that kidnap a little girl. It´s your duty to beat up all the terrorists and rescue the girl.

Overall: 8/10

If you liked the Final Fight series and you where waiting for some new descent beat´em up action, then this game is for you. What are you waiting for? Go beat some bad guys butts!!

Creatures - Raised in Space [U] ISO

Creatures - Raised in Space [U] ISO

Description :

Creatures: Raised in Space is the second game for the PlayStation in the Creatures series, being the sequel to Creatures PS1. It was released on May 14th, 2002 (see history), and can be considered roughly equivalent to Creatures 3, while its predecessor is more like C1/C2. According to its developers, Conspiracy Entertainment

Gameplay

The game takes place upon the Shee Ark, where the player must save the Norns by opening up the doors to the different Terrariums (the same that are in Creatures 3). Around the world are small, blue stars that must be placed in a machine by the Norns in order to generate a key. However, the stars have a limited lifespan, with stars that rotate faster nearing the end of their lifespan. When exactly 25 Stars are placed in the machine, it will generate a key. In order to be able to carry stars, Norns must be trained from an early age.
Unlike previous Creatures games, each Norn must collect ten hearts in order to become fertile. These hearts are found throughout the shee ark, and can be collected by both Scrubby and the Norns. Ettins and Grendels are always infertile.
Around the world are a variety of medicinal plants, that closely, if not exactly, resemble Herbs from Creatures. These herbs have special effects on Norns, such as promoting sleep, getting rid of illness and decreasing Tiredness. Too many of these herbs can cause addiction. There are also several varieties of weeds found in the Jungle Terrarium that can be detrimental to a Norn's health.
Like the original Creatures Game, Norns in Creatures: Raised in Space are programmed to die from Illness at a Certain Age. The average lifespan of a Norn in this game is around four hours.

Terrariums

Norn Terrarium- Closely resembling the Norn Terrarium from Creatures 3, the Norn Terrarium provides a home for all of your Norns. The Crypt no longer serves as a burial ground, but rather a room where Norns can rest. The Learning Room has been totally omitted from the game, with its entrance leading to the "Resting" Room. The only safe areas a Norn can sleep are in the "Resting Room" and the Norn Treehouse. If a Norn goes to sleep in another area, it may become sick.
Main Corridor- The second level in the game, the Main Corridor is probably the largest. Many features of Creatures 3 are not present, such as the Splicer and Airlocks. Wandering around the ship are Doozers that will violently attack the Norns when they are kicked.
Marine Terrarium- Unlike its Creatures 3 counterpart, the Marine Terrarium's underwater areas are totally inaccessible by Creatures. The room is also fairly small, but Coconuts grow on the palm Trees.
Desert Terrarium- The third "level" in the game, the Desert Terrarium introduces the Ettins. Unlike Creatures 3, the Ettins don't collect machinery, but stars instead. The Terrarium is mostly bare, with no Gnarlers or Uglee whatsoever.
Jungle Terrarium- The fourth and final Terrarium, the Jungle Terrarium introduces the Grendels, who are rather fond of attacking Norns. The Terrarium itself has a variety of poisonous plants, that appear to be life-threatening to Norns, and incurable. There is no Piranha pool, and the top half of the Terraium is mostly empty. The Entrance to "Winning" the game is in the lower part of the level, where a door leads to a movie of two CGI Norns playing together with a message above saying "You Saved the Norns!"
