Graphics
Bob and all the other cast look just as realistic as they do on day time TV,but at times when your building the graphics seem to become slightly boxy. But when the cut scenes play, I guarantee you'll be SHOCKED at the quality of this excellent playstation game. To be quite honest this game is worthy of the PS2! The vehicles look very realistic, Although the background doesn't look too great, When you see one of your character friends talk,there mouths will move realistically. Not something you see in many Playstation 1 games. The vehicles move nice and smoothly, and The characters seem to walk just like real people.
Sound
This is really the only let down of this game,the theme tunes do sound kind of 1960-ish if you know what I mean,But alas they are quite catchy. When you first play the game the sound will annoy you quite badly, but after an hour of playing, you'll soon get used to it. The way the vechiles move sound excellent. And Bob's voice sounds just like it does on the TV show, so there are no let downs in this department. You can even hear Bob's footsteps when he walks, and when the tractors Scoop, you can even hear the soil falling from the tractor's scooping device!, This game's sound's are EXTREMELY realistical!
Re-playability
Even if you finish the game, I guarantee you you'll want to play it again. There's no limit to what you can do. You can create a big house, a small house, A tennis court of any color you like, A swimming pool, A farm yard, Well, Anything you want really! So, This game will keep you occupied for a very long time! Well, I personally played this game for nearly 5 months! And it still keeps me fascinated to this day.In fact, I could honestly say no game has ever kept me as interested in it for as long as this one has.A true masterpiece of a game.
Gameplay
BRILLIANT! The controls are very simple to work out, and there's no complicated ''Combinations'' you'll need to use to move Bob around. The game can be easy, But then it can be hard, It depends how serious you are about, You can build something easy, like a tennis court in 2 minutes, or something hard, like a farm in around 45 minutes, It may sound like a lot of time, but as they say, time flies when your having fun, onto fun, the game is one of the most amusing I have ever played,it has lots of jokes from Bob,Wendy and all the other workers, and all the amusing antics of the bad scarecrow. This game really makes you laugh and chuckle!
Story
You play Bob,a friendly builder in a quaint English village.Your job is to,with all your friends,build a town for the citizens of this village,what you build is up to you,but if you build tacky buildings,The residents will move out to a better town! The game is fast paced,you have a time limit to build houses for the residents,but after that you can build anything from tennis courts to shopping malls for as long as you like,but make sure you dont overcrowd the town,the game has a really good storyline,and unlike some other THQ games, the creators have really put a lot of effort into this.
