Digimon Rumble Arena [U] ISO

Digimon Rumble Arena [U] ISO

Description :

Cute, Cuddly, and Ready to Rumble! Digimon Rumble Arena comes to life in this truly Digimonumental release! With user friendly controls and loads of adventure, it's easy to learn, yet hard to put down. Fun for the entire family, Digimon Rumble Arena provides classic fighting gameplay for 1 or 2 players.

Intro
This game was built after Digimon World 2 and before Digimon World 3, so there will be digimon's from season 1 to 3 but do not expect to see season 4 digimon's . This is the only Digimon fighting game in Playstation, so this game is very different from the rest of the digimon's World series you've played. This game has the best 2 player system ,and you will be able to challenge anyone even without a memory card.

Controls 9/10
Unlike most arcade game that require you to do complicated tricks with the buttons , in this game you'll only need to press a button to unleash your attacks. The controls are so easy, even a six years old can play. X to jump, Triangle and O to use a special attack ,and Square for normal attacks. You'll also need to block if you want to win, to block press the L1 button. In every digimon game you can digivolve, this apply in this game too. You digivolve by pressing R1. You can also unleash your finish attack by pressing the same button.

Gameplay 9/10
In this game, you'll have to digivolve and use finish attacks. When you digivolve ,your digimon will have stronger attacks but your life meter will not fill up. Your finish attacks are attacks that will do serious damage to the opponent. There are some finish attacks that can't be blocked , so be careful. Some finish attacks might also cause other effects, like absorbing your opponent Hp.
However you can only digivolve and unleash your finish attacks when your special meter is full. It can be filled by attacking the opponent or being attacked. There are also cards in this game, those cards will either help you or give you a very miserable time battling.

Graphics 9/10
The graphics are fine and looks realistic, but they do look a bit blocky sometimes. Attacks are much better, and the digimons size are just right. There will be no more short legged angemon.

Music's 9/10
Unlike digimon world series, digimon rumble arena takes soundtracks from all the 3 digimon series. Best of all ,the soundtracks play when you're battling.

Sound 9/10
Very clear sound effects. The sound effect's are great and when your digimon digivolve, their trainers will appear in the screen and shout 'digivolve'. Some digimons that are fused, will have two voices. Whenever your digimon makes an attack , it will mention the name of the attack.

Story 7/10
Since this is a fighting game, there will be no story. You can even win this game in a period of half an hour. Basically, you do nothing in this game, except blasting your opponent with attacks. If you want a game with a decent story and can last you for more than a month, get a RPG not a fighting game.

Replaying value 9/10
You can play it over and over again and still don't get bored. There are also digimon's to unlock. Although you might prefer playing RPG's then a fighting game, but if you're a digimon fan you don't know what you're missing.

Digimon - Digital Card Battle [U] ISO

Digimon - Digital Card Battle [U] ISO

Description :

If you're dreaming of a DIGIMON scenario where humans and monsters could live together and participate in Digital Card Battles, then wake up! This is it! Three Partner Decks will be at your disposal throughout play: Veemon will help you with offense; Armodillomon will chip in on surprise attacks; and Hawkmon will lend itself to quick digi-volving. With 40 new characters and 30 awesome power-up cards at your disposal, this is a DIGIMON experience for monster trainers of all ages.

Story: 8
Basically, your are a kid in the Digimon card game world. Your main task is to become the greatest card tamer in the world, or so to speak. As you progress in your journey you task turns into a wonderful journey to save the world. In order to accomplish this feat you must travel to different lands and battle in the Battle Arenas to prove your strength and at the same time, become the Legendary Card Master and also save the world.

Music: 8
The music in this game, though not spectacular, is some of the best that i have heard on a Digimon game. Though the walk-to-city music may, and I say may, get on your nerves after a while, the music really shine in the battle mode. When the Digmion begin to battle and it turns into the polygon arena that is where some of the best music can be heard. The sounds for each situation in the game gives it a nice feeling.

Graphics:8
Much like the music, the graphics in the game were not spectacular. I found them quite nice though. The battle graphics were nice, and so were the attacks, and I was quite impressed that they were able to put such detail in the card pictures. For this type of game I believe that the graphics are acceptable, I mean, all you really do is walk to a town and battle, how good do the graphics really need to be?

Game Play:10
When I first got into a Digimon card battle I was impressed. The game makes the card battles simple and easy yet fun at the same time. Simply: make a powerful deck, get into a battle, choose cards and beat opponent. Move onto next city. Whilst beating opponents, train your partner card to make it more powerful as well. What could be more simpler?

Replay:10
This game has HEAPS of replay value. After you beat the game you can play the game again with different partner Digimon, and make new decks. Also, before you beat the game you will have a nice LONG time trying to collect all the cards.
