Croc - Legend of the Gobbos (E) ISO

Croc - Legend of the Gobbos (E) ISO

Description :

Croc: Legend of the Gobbos (also known as simply Croc, or in Japan as Croc! Pau-Pau Island (クロック!パウパウアイランド?)) is a platform video game published by Fox Interactive and developed by Argonaut Software for the PlayStation, Sega Saturn, PC, and Game Boy Color. It was released on September 29, 1997 in the North America. It follows main protagonist Croc, and his attempts to rescue the furry creatures known as Gobbos from the main antagonist, Baron Dante.
It received generally positive reviews from video games critics and was also a commercial success particularly in Europe, eventually becoming a PlayStation Greatest Hits game. Over four million copies were sold.

Plot

The Gobbo King Rufus is watching the sunset when he notices a small basket in the lake, containing a small, screaming baby crocodile. The Gobbos raise him and train him to become one of their own. Croc eventually grows to twice the size of a normal Gobbo. All is peaceful, until one day, one of the Gobbos shouts out a warning... " Dantinis!". Suddenly, the evil Baron Dante arrives and invades Gobbo Island with the help of his demon rascals, the Dantinis. He imprisons many of the Gobbos, most notably their King, whom he keeps in a steel cage within his castle island. Before the Gobbo King is taken, he strikes a magical gong that summons a yellow bird called Beany. Beany shrinks Croc before whisking him away to safety. Croc then goes on a quest to free all the Gobbos and defeat the evil Baron Dante himself.

Gameplay

Croc is a free-roaming game title, with Croc's movement differing slightly depending on whether players use the directional pad or the analog controller to control him. His main moves consist of a tail whip attack that can temporarily destroy enemies, and a hit drop used for smashing open crates (the same move in the Super Mario series). Croc also possess the ability to swim in select levels. Throughout the game Croc collects crystals which serve as health in a similar fashion to golden rings in Sonic the Hedgehog, meaning the player will lose a life if hit without holding any crystals in their inventory. Crystals retained at the end of a level are stored, with Croc gaining an extra life for every 100 he collects.
Progressing through the levels involves finding and hitting the Beany Gong at the end of the level to move onto the next, facing two bosses during each island. However, to fully complete the game, Croc has to rescue the captured Gobbos throughout each level. Each level contains six Gobbos, including one hidden behind a door at the end of the level. This Gobbo can only be released by collecting five coloured crystals throughout the level. Collecting all the Gobbos before a boss level unlocks an extra level in which a Jigsaw Piece can be earned. When the player collects all of these pieces, a new island is opened up, leading to the game's final boss, Baron Dante in crystal form.

Criticom [U] ISO

The fight runs until one fighter is knocked out (no more power in their meter), one is knocked out of the arena (or steps/jumps out), or the time runs out.

Plot

Criticom is a one-on-one fighting game where eight diverse fighters from across the galaxy vie for a crystal artifact. The game features a science fiction backstory that involves mystery and intrigue surrounding the crystal and each of the fighters is given a unique storyline to explain why he or she is so interested in the artifact.

Crisis Beat (E) ISO

Crisis Beat (E) ISO

Description :

Much more than a beat 'em up, Crisis Beat is a blend of action and adventure rarely seen on PlayStation, wrapped up in a compelling narrative that runs throughout the game, guiding players from one exciting challenge to another. To combat the hordes of bad guys all over the ship, you have to use stealth, strategy and be ready to brawl with the best. Depending on which character you have opted to play (a choice of four), the game AI will select the best "BOSS" to hamper your progress.

Crisis Beat is a beat´em up style game like the old Final Fight series or Double Dragon. I really enjoy this type of game because is really fun when your playing with a friend.

Graphics: 8/10

The graphics during the game aren´t too great but they don´t suck either. But the graphics in the real-time cutscens are too much better. However the graphics when you´re playing are fine, if they where better you won´t even notice ´cause we all know how pixelated the graphics are in the old PSX.
You can tell by the very first time you play this game that the programmers didn´t use motion capture and that´s a shame cause if they have used some motion-capture, to make the movements of the characters, the game could´ve been too much better looking.

Sound/Music: 8/10

The music is just above average and in some parts of the game there even isn´t any music, but don´t worry these are just some very short areas. The sound effects are very well done, you´ll get your punching, kicking, screaming and breaking-stuff sound effects that we all love.

Gameplay: 8/10

This game is, as I said, a beat´em up game so all you gotta do is beat up all the bad guys! And in this game are 4 different characters to play with. They come in 2 pairs, and each pair has it´s own route.
All the characters have their unique attacks and you can make some special attacks pressing different combinations of buttons, and with some of them the camera will make a zoom to make a more spectacular scene.
Something great about this game is that you can break almost anything you see in the levels and something more cool is that if you hit an enemy that is in front of one breakable object you´re character will make a special combo and will send the enemy directly to the object destroying it in a very cool way.
The only very important thing that is missing in this game is the variety of weapons, the only 2 weapons that you can use in the game are something like a knife (I said it this way cause I really dont know what it is!! Any enemy can drop this even if he´s holding a flame-thrower he´ll only drop this crappy knife-thing) and the other one is a machine gun but when you grab this item you´re not able to control your character, all that your char will do is just spin and shoot just everywhere killing all the enemies in the screen.
Oh, and there are 3 difficulty levels for you to play trough.

Story: 8/10

This kind of games doesnt need a very good story to play them. In this game there´s a ship that´s infested with terrorists that kidnap a little girl. It´s your duty to beat up all the terrorists and rescue the girl.

Overall: 8/10

If you liked the Final Fight series and you where waiting for some new descent beat´em up action, then this game is for you. What are you waiting for? Go beat some bad guys butts!!

Crime Killer (E) ISO

In the near future, the streets will be taken over by criminals, and the government-run police department is powerless in the fight against crime. That is why the URIEL consortium buys the department. URIEL gives the police department three new patrol vehicles: the turbo patrol car, the bike, and the wing. Each comes with a vast array of weapons; including a vulcan cannon, machine guns, cluster shells, and others to use on various crime fighting missions. Your job is simple: keep the streets free and clear of all criminals. If your friends start to look like the bad guys, challenge them to a holotag or weapons test match. In holotag, test your driving skills and try to collect all of the holograms scattered throughout an arena, while blowing your opponents into small pieces is the goal of the weapons test. Creatures - Raised in Space [U] ISO

Creatures - Raised in Space [U] ISO

Description :

Creatures: Raised in Space is the second game for the PlayStation in the Creatures series, being the sequel to Creatures PS1. It was released on May 14th, 2002 (see history), and can be considered roughly equivalent to Creatures 3, while its predecessor is more like C1/C2. According to its developers, Conspiracy Entertainment

Gameplay

The game takes place upon the Shee Ark, where the player must save the Norns by opening up the doors to the different Terrariums (the same that are in Creatures 3). Around the world are small, blue stars that must be placed in a machine by the Norns in order to generate a key. However, the stars have a limited lifespan, with stars that rotate faster nearing the end of their lifespan. When exactly 25 Stars are placed in the machine, it will generate a key. In order to be able to carry stars, Norns must be trained from an early age.
Unlike previous Creatures games, each Norn must collect ten hearts in order to become fertile. These hearts are found throughout the shee ark, and can be collected by both Scrubby and the Norns. Ettins and Grendels are always infertile.
Around the world are a variety of medicinal plants, that closely, if not exactly, resemble Herbs from Creatures. These herbs have special effects on Norns, such as promoting sleep, getting rid of illness and decreasing Tiredness. Too many of these herbs can cause addiction. There are also several varieties of weeds found in the Jungle Terrarium that can be detrimental to a Norn's health.
Like the original Creatures Game, Norns in Creatures: Raised in Space are programmed to die from Illness at a Certain Age. The average lifespan of a Norn in this game is around four hours.

Terrariums

Norn Terrarium- Closely resembling the Norn Terrarium from Creatures 3, the Norn Terrarium provides a home for all of your Norns. The Crypt no longer serves as a burial ground, but rather a room where Norns can rest. The Learning Room has been totally omitted from the game, with its entrance leading to the "Resting" Room. The only safe areas a Norn can sleep are in the "Resting Room" and the Norn Treehouse. If a Norn goes to sleep in another area, it may become sick.
Main Corridor- The second level in the game, the Main Corridor is probably the largest. Many features of Creatures 3 are not present, such as the Splicer and Airlocks. Wandering around the ship are Doozers that will violently attack the Norns when they are kicked.
Marine Terrarium- Unlike its Creatures 3 counterpart, the Marine Terrarium's underwater areas are totally inaccessible by Creatures. The room is also fairly small, but Coconuts grow on the palm Trees.
Desert Terrarium- The third "level" in the game, the Desert Terrarium introduces the Ettins. Unlike Creatures 3, the Ettins don't collect machinery, but stars instead. The Terrarium is mostly bare, with no Gnarlers or Uglee whatsoever.
Jungle Terrarium- The fourth and final Terrarium, the Jungle Terrarium introduces the Grendels, who are rather fond of attacking Norns. The Terrarium itself has a variety of poisonous plants, that appear to be life-threatening to Norns, and incurable. There is no Piranha pool, and the top half of the Terraium is mostly empty. The Entrance to "Winning" the game is in the lower part of the level, where a door leads to a movie of two CGI Norns playing together with a message above saying "You Saved the Norns!"
